I need some help/advise PLEASE!?

ok soo heres the deal. me and my boyfriend have been dating for almost a year and the sadies dance is coming up..but unfortunately the nickelback concert is on the same day!! so i rather go to the concert...and i ume that he being a guy would rather go to a concert than a dance..wouldnt some of you guys agree??? but anyways we're going out to dinner tomorrow and i need a creative way of asking him to the concert instead of the dance...any suggestions???? please =]
