Redoing an 18 year old's room?

I'm 18 years old and my room is a very pretty blue mixed with silver color. The only problem is that the stuff I have in my room like little nick knacks and my bed spread (which is fluffy pink) and stuff like that makes it look like a little girls room. I'm trying to change stuff without having to spend to much money, for instance I'm making an animal print quilt because I love animal print, but I also don't really have a specific scheme to my room, does anybody have an ideas of things I could do to tie my room together in a mature way? Animal accents I thought would be cool but I don't really know what else to do. Suggestions are much appreciated! Thanks in advance!
