My soon to be mother in law hates me? Is she prejudice? How do I deal with her?

You need to sit down, one on one, with no one else around and talk with this woman. Explain to her, how you feel about her son, and how rude it is of her to single you out and, make it seem like you are only interested in his money. She seems like a real beyotch! I mean, could she be anymore rude to you? A lot of mother's don't approve of the choices that their sons make in who they marry, and the same goes for dad's with their daughters. But, this woman has taken it too far by demeaning you. My mother in-law doesn't like me either, and I have no clue why. I'm white and, my hubby is too, so, it can't be race. But, in your situation it seems that way. If she loves the drop out and, doesn't like you then, she is racist. 100%. Sit this woman down, and flat out tell her, it's not right of you to act the way you do towards me, and that you don't appreciate it. And, also that you have done nothing wrong for her to not like you. If your fiance' loves you, for you then, she needs to get over it. You can't change her mind, but you can voice how you feel and stand up for yourself. Let her know that you won't tolerate her ignorance anymore. When you do have to go to family affairs, just keep your distance. Good Luck!
